Seasonal Pest Info

The fall Season brings changing leaves and cooler temperatures. This is the time of year when rodents and other mammals may try to find housing within you residence. Mice only need 1/4 of an inch to gain access. It may be necessary to install door sweeps, repair screens, vents may need screening and the foundation should be repaired if cracked. Many of you may enjoy feeding the birds, if you are doing so; place all bird feeders as far from the house as possible. Remember the mice and rats will be attracted to the seeds that are displaced onto the ground during feeding.

Once rodents do gain entry into your home we will be able to eliminate the existing population by implementing a trapping and baiting program. Our rodent service includes an inspection of the exterior, sealing small openings with copper mesh and/or expanding foam, interior inspection of crawlspaces, basements, attics, utility areas, garages and kitchens. We will then place tamper resistant bait stations and traps in areas that are likely to have activity. We will follow up in two weeks to refill bait stations and to remove any trapped rodents.
